All Hail Ale is a small, independent micropub tucked into a converted shopfront on Queens Road in Westbourne, pouring proper beer since it first opened its doors in October 2017. Inside there's polished wood flooring, a handsome wooden bar and a relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere built around one thing, good beer, properly kept.
What's on tap
The line-up changes constantly. Hand-pulled cask ales sit alongside a rotating selection of craft kegs, nearly all sourced from independent breweries around the UK rather than the big national names, a LocAle supporter, so a locally brewed pint is rarely far from the pumps. Real cider is on offer too. A bottle shop counter stocks beer, wine and spirits to take home, so a visit doesn't have to end at the door.
Atmosphere and events
It's a proper local in the best sense: friendly, knowledgeable staff, occasional live music, and tap takeover nights that put a spotlight on newer or lesser-known breweries. Dogs are welcome, and there's Wi-Fi for anyone settling in for the evening. All Hail Ale doesn't run its own kitchen, but pizza takeaway is available next door for anyone who wants food alongside their pint.
Good to know
Opening hours vary through the week, later starts on Monday to Wednesday, earlier from Thursday, and open from midday at weekends, so it's worth checking current times before heading over, especially outside peak evening hours. As with any small independent pub, the beer list changes from week to week, so what's on the bar today may well be gone by your next visit.
