Southbourne Grove is the high street of this clifftop suburb east of Bournemouth town centre, and Baffi sits on it as the local outpost of a small, family-run Neapolitan pizza group that also has sites in Canford Cliffs, Westbourne, Poole and Portswood.
The food
The style is Neapolitan: a wood-fired oven, a slow-risen sourdough base, and toppings kept close to the classics, fior di latte, San Marzano tomatoes, fresh basil and olive oil. The kitchen also caters for gluten-free and vegan diners, so it's a reasonable choice for mixed groups with different dietary needs. Getting a table, or a takeaway
Baffi Southbourne takes bookings online, and there's also a takeaway service, with Deliveroo delivery running outside normal sit-down hours. It's open Wednesday to Friday evenings and across the weekend from midday, and closed on Monday and Tuesday, useful to know if you're planning a visit around a day on the beach.
