Getting there and parking

The train into Bournemouth station leaves you a walk or a short bus ride from the front, and it sidesteps the worst of the traffic. If you drive, the town car parks near the seafront fill early and empty slowly once the crowds leave together, so factor in a wait. Buses run along the seafront and the clifftops from surrounding areas, and on festival days they are usually the least stressful option. Cycling in and locking up away from the busiest stretch is another way to skip the queues.

Crowds, access and a few practical tips

This is a big event, so plan as you would for any large gathering. Bring sun protection and water, agree a meeting point with your group in case phone signal drops, and keep an eye on children near the promenade edge and the water.
